It's no secret that fast food isn't the healthiest meal option. Evidently, the people that know this best are the ones serving you.

Foodbeast.com came to this conclusion after posting on Reddit: "Fast food workers of Reddit, what should we NOT order at your restaurant? Why not?"

Out of more than 3,000 comments and possible entries, Foodbeast.com writer Charisma Madarang chose 14 selections that proved to be the most, well, stomach-churning. She writes that readers should know that "none of these claims have been verified" and recommends bookmarking the Reddit thread, as many answers were submitted.

The Daily Mail says a McDonald's employee responded to the thread and said to avoid anything from the McCafe menu because staff aren't diligent about cleaning the "horrifically dirty machines" that may contain "5 plus inches" of filth. The unknown employee did not mention any specific McDonald's locations, however.

Another Reddit user FreakyCheeseman posted that baseball stadium hotdogs should be passed up because they can be recycled for more than two days. Just like his fellow user, FreakyCheeseman did not say exactly what stadium he worked at.

While not unsanitary or indigestible, Panera pasta was mentioned in the thread to be not fresh and just microwaved once removed from its plastic pouch. The best options are the sandwiches and salads that use "real, fresh ingredients," President_Pancake says.

Some of the items Foodbeast.com mentioned were posted simply because fast food workers have grown annoyed of repetitive requests. One Starbucks employee asked that patrons stop ordering off of the "secret menu," because it doesn't exist.

"If you want a snickerdoodle, Nutella, or captain crunch frappuccino (or whatever other overly sugary thing someone has since come out with), know the base drink and the modifications, and order that," Reddit user Stac52 explains. "If you just say the name, it's up to the barista to come up with what's in the drink, and it may not be what the last barista you ordered from put in there."
