The Texas Rangers start a four game series at home against the Royals tonight, and with lefthander Danny Duffy on the mound, Jeff Banister is giving Ronald Guzman the day off, as well as Jurickson Profar. This is basically the first day off Profar has had when he has been healthy since April 7 — since returning to the lineup on April 20 after missing a couple of games after a nasty collision at second base, Profar has played every inning of every game, and with the Rangers in the middle of a 20 games in 20 days stretch, getting Profar a day off makes sense, though I’m sure people will still complain.

The lineup:

DeShields — CF

Choo — DH

Kiner-Falefa — 3B

Mazara -- RF

Rua -- 1B

Gallo — LF

Chirinos -- C

Odor — 2B

Alberto — SS

Austin Bibens-Dirkx gets the start for Texas.
