FORT MYERS, Fla. – Single-game tickets for the FGCU men's and women's basketball programs will go on sale beginning at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1.

Men's general admission tickets can be purchased for $10. Women's individual game tickets range from $10-22. That price range includes general admission, Priority 3, Priority 2 and Priority 1, and a detailed seating chart is included which outlines the corresponding sections. Additionally, for $20 per person, groups of 20 or more receive a free women's basketball T-shirt, public address recognition and upgraded priority seating based on availability.

Tickets will be available in person at the Alico Arena Ticket Office Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., over the phone by calling (239) 590-7145 or online at FGCUAthletics.com/Tickets.

"We've had a tremendously successful season ticket campaign, and we're now excited to begin selling individual games for both the men and the women," said Director of Ticket Operations Chad Lutkenhaus. "We look forward to once again creating a great home atmosphere for every game at Alico Arena."

The men will have 14 home regular-season games, beginning on Saturday, Nov. 15, against Nova Southeastern. The women will play 13 regular-season contests in the friendly confines of The Nest, starting with George Washington on Friday, Nov. 14. Both teams' complete schedules can be accessed by following the links at the top of this release.

Last season the men were one of just five teams in the nation to increase their attendance from the previous year by an average of more than 2,000 fans per game. The men posted 13 sellouts overall, including six standing-room-only sellouts – something which is expected to continue in 2014-15 as all reserved seating is already sold out for the entire season. On the women's side, FGCU was the only Atlantic Sun Conference member to average more than 1,000 fans per game at home, with the Green and Blue averaging 1,709 fans per contest.

In addition to single-game tickets, all levels of women's season tickets remain on sale, while men's general admission season tickets are available. New in 2014-15 is the referral program in which any current season ticket holder or Eagles Club member can refer someone to purchase women's season tickets, and that person and the new season ticket holder will receive an FGCU tote bag filled with a gameday accessories. For more information regarding season tickets, fans are asked to contact the ticket office.

Alico Arena is quickly becoming one of the most feared venues for opposing teams to visit as over the past two years the men's and women's programs have combined to go 59-7. In seven years as a Division-I member, the women's team has compiled a 111-8 record at Alico (.933 winning percentage), which is the second-best home winning percentage over that time behind only UConn (.939).

"The support that we received all of last year was absolutely fantastic," said second-year head men's basketball coach Joe Dooley. "The community support, which Karl (Smesko) and his program have always had, I got to experience for the first time last year and it's something that did not go unnoticed. Opposing teams and coaches would often comment on our crowds, and their noise and level of engagement certainly helped in us playing so well at home."

In addition to games at Alico Arena, the men will partake in the eight-team Gulf Coast Showcase presented by bd Global Nov. 24-26 at Germain Arena. Tickets to those games are separate from the normal home ticket pricing, but can still be purchased by contacting the Alico Arena Ticket Office.

The women completed the 2013-14 season with a record of 26-8, including a 17-1 mark in conference action en route to their fourth-consecutive regular-season championship and second league tournament title in three years. The Green and Blue earned their second NCAA Tournament appearance in three years of eligibility, where they fell to eventual Sweet 16 team and No. 5 seed Oklahoma State, 61-60, in overtime. The 2013-14 season marked the 10th-consecutive season in which a Smesko-coached team won at least 20 games. Smesko, who earned his fourth-consecutive A-Sun Coach of the Year award after a successful 2013-14 campaign, led the program to its 300th win in his 12th season.

On the men's side, Dooley guided the program to its first A-Sun regular-season championship courtesy of a 14-4 league mark in 2013-14. The Eagles participated in the NIT for the first time in program history as FGCU's 22 wins (22-13) marked the second-straight 20-win season and were the second-most in the Division-I era (2007-08). Returners Brett Comer (Winter Park, Fla./Winter Park HS) and Bernard Thompson (Conyers, Ga. Rockdale County HS) were both named to the A-Sun First Team as Comer has already set the program's all-time assist record while Thompson enters his senior year as the program's all-time leading scorer.
