DLC NEWS

As we are already partnered with Ape Games with their game RARRR!!, we will also be bringing in Spirits of the Rice Paddy to our DLC family!

In Spirits of the Rice Paddy, players must compete with fellow rice farmers to construct and tend rice paddies. Oxen can build walls and remove large rocks. Ducks can be employed to eat harmful pests and fertilize the fledgling crops. Weeds must be kept at bay. And, most importantly, water must be conserved and released with the greatest of care.

With a little luck, all that back-breaking labor will pay off in the end. The good news is that the spirits are eager to assist, granting many special abilities, blessings and magic. The farmer who produces the most rice over seven rounds wins the game.

We’re also working with Magic Meeple Games to bring their first game, Darkrock Ventures into Tabletop Simulator!

Darkrock Ventures is a worker placement game about mining and exporting in a hostile outer space. Players will be controlling a mining company working in harsh conditions to acquire the most credits.

MONTH IN REVIEW

In Update v7.8, we released the DLC Three Cheers For Master by Atlas Games! It’s a ton of fun and pretty cool looking too!

We re-enabled Touch support and updated the Tutorial for our Touch users. Not all of the Tools are currently working on Touch, but we’re continually working on getting everything functioning properly.

We made great improvements to our Saved Camera states so they now persist into save files and are shared with everyone in your room, so they are no longer globally saved.

Camera state 0 now overrides the space bar position for everyone at the table, so if you want the main position to be the same for everyone, then this is what you want to use.

Another great thing we added is that the lift height and rotation snap degrees are now saved between games! People have wanted this for a long time and we finally did it!

In Update v7.9, we added a brand new color picker! This advanced color picker lets you change HSB and RGB values as well as input hex codes, so you can get the exact color you want. We also have the default colors available for those who want to match the same values.

We also improved impact sounds so they are much nicer on the ears with lessened tinny effects.

Chat commands were also reformatted on both the Global and Game chat tabs to be easier to read.

In Update v7.10, we released The Captain Is Dead DLC  by The Game Crafter! It has a great theme inside a ship and is a fun game everyone should check out!

We also added two decks for free to the Superfight DLC. Both the Challenge (yellow) and Green decks are now a part of the DLC. The Challenge deck adds 100 new victory conditions for your fights and the Green deck adds 100 kid-friendly cards to Superfight.

So lots more fun and variety in your Superfight matches!

We re-created the Control Scheme for better visibility. It’s much easier to read and follow and offers more information when you hover over each section.

And then we added some improvements to the chat window so you can now change the color of it and enabled BBCode for colors so it now works on Notecards.

COMMUNITY

ORIGINAL GAME:  

Check out Forbidden Skies on our Steam Workshop! Forbidden Skies was created by community member Kyle the Donut.

Forbidden Skies is a 3v3 competitive/cooperative steampunk airship combat game. It takes about 30 minutes to an hour to play, but add about 30 minutes when it's your first time, as the rulebook is a bit dense. Best with six players, but can be played with two or three people. 4v4 could potentially work, as well, if you've got a larger group; just add an engineer to each team. 

The game is early in development, but very much a playable game concept. Check it out for yourselves and let him know what you think!

SCRIPTED MOD:

Scripting makes things come alive even more in Tabletop Simulator and the community has made some pretty neat stuff!

If you’re looking for a mod where you need to attach a model to a card, then Dig54’s awesome Card & Object Encoder is right up your alley.



You can use this to encode almost any object onto a card. Be sure to read the description on the Workshop page for what you can and cannot use.

Once the object is encoded onto the card, just click the X on the card and the object will be spawned on top of the card.

This is useful for RPGs and other games where you want cards to have an embedded object that can be retrieved.
