Join Habitat, the Town of Ashland, Ashland Church of God, and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to help clean up a local property. This is an older Habitat home whose owner is asking for help with property clean-up.
This volunteer activity is focused on cleaning up the property – both outside and inside the home. Volunteers will help gather and throw out old items, materials, and trash. Volunteers are not expected to do any household cleaning (vacuuming, dusting, mopping, etc.). Assistance will be limited to clearing out debris in the house and the property. There is cigarette smoke odor throughout the house, so volunteers must wear appropriate clothing and be prepared. Gloves will be provided.
Please arrive at 8:00 a.m. and check in with Pastor Mark Heffinger from Ashland Church of God. He will be the day-of supervisor.
It is not recommended to park on the street, as it is narrow and there are ditches. Both the homeowner and neighbor have been gracious enough to allow volunteers to park on their grass. Please do not tear up the grass, or cause damage to the property. See the picture below to help guide you when you arrive.
