Man shot dead on Strawberry Mansion street

STRAWBERRY MANSION (WPVI) -- Police say a 39-year-old man was shot in the head and killed in Philadelphia's Strawberry Mansion section early Saturday morning.

The shooting happened shortly before 1:00 a.m. on the 2900 block of West Oakdale Street.

The victim was taken by police to Temple University Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

So far, no word on any arrests or motive for the shooting.

The victim's name has not been released.
