Southwest Sunday Parkways

When: Sunday, 11 a.m.–4 p.m.
Where: Southwest Portland, route from Gabriel Park to Hillsdale Shopping Center

Sunday Parkways is a popular ongoing series of events hosted by the City of Portland. It promotes exercise and exploration by drawing locals to different parts of the city each month from May–September. Last summer, more than 85,000 Portlanders participated in Sunday Parkways. This weekend’s event, the last of 2014, is in Southwest Portland, following a route through Gabriel Park, Multnomah Village, Troy Street Marketplace and the Hillsdale Shopping Center. Participants are encouraged to walk, bike or run along the route, which features a walk-only section and many interesting, beautiful and diverse settings. Along the way are several activity areas, where attendees will find free exercise classes, food, events, booths, drinks, music and more.
