Board members are encouraged to join us for lunch! Join Danielle Clore, executive director of the Kentucky Nonprofit Network, for this session for nonprofit executive directors/CEOs. We’ll discuss the important dynamics of the executive director’s partnership with the board and strategies for building a team that strengthens the organization, including tools for managing conflict and getting the support you need. You’ll learn the six tips for getting the best from your board.
Session II: 11:30am – 1:30pm – Building a Successful Board of Directors

Invite your board members to join us for lunch for an overview of board service, including legal responsibilities and roles, board and staff partnerships, committees and recruitment. We’ll also learn more about a great tool for your organization, the Principles & Practices for Nonprofit Excellence in Kentucky.

Join Kentucky Nonprofit Network and your nonprofit colleagues for a discussion of the new regional analysis of KNN’s annual More Than Charity report – including new findings on employment data. We’ll develop strategies for leveraging these findings to build support and increase understanding of the issues facing Kentucky’s nonprofits with community leaders and government officials. You’ll leave with tools for advancing your organization and our larger nonprofit sector.
