Ballardites looking for a place to grab weekend brunch now have a new option through the month of September.

From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays between August 16 and September 30, Hilliard’s Beer (1550 NW 49th St) will host, “Coffee, Beer, and Breaky,” an extension of their Friday and Saturday offerings that pair beer with the fare of local food trucks.

Brunch will be provided by The Biscuit Box, a new food truck that serves flaky and buttery biscuits with a selection of homemade jams. According to their Facebook page, their biscuit recipe is, “unique to Seattle, and unlike traditional biscuits found around the country.”

New Ballard-based pop-up Mmmhmm Coffee will be offering a selection of light, bright, and juicy single origin coffees to complement the meal.

Hilliard’s suggests making the new brunch offering part of your routine if you’re heading to the weekly Ballard Farmers Market. Attendees can park in the all-day lot next to Hilliard’s for $3, grab some coffee and brunch, and walk the three blocks to the Farmers Market. Afterwards, you’re invited to return to grab a beer and relax, before heading on your way (with the assistance of a designated driver).
