As part of its mission, the Dublin Core Metadata Initiative (DCMI) is committed to education and training in the design of languages of description and in best practices in the daily use of those languages. To fulfill that mission, DCMI offers an ongoing series of webinars.  The goal of the webinar series is to advance innovative metadata design and practice.  To propose a DCMI webinar, please complete the following form.  

DCMI webinars are customarily 50-60 minutes in length followed by 15-20 minutes of Q&A. Webinars are of two core types: (1) overview webinars that introduce a topic or specific aspects of a topic; and (2) praxis webinars that provide provide attendees with the particular knowledge and skills necessary engage in practice at various levels of expertise.

Webinar proposals are reviewed periodically by the DCMI Education & Outreach Committee.  Decisions of the Committee are based on an ongoing assessment of innovative developments in the metadata ecosystem and meeting the needs of DCMI's education and training agenda.
