Throughout September, Mellow Mushroom is joining Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign by raising funds to end childhood hunger. The company has introduced three ways for customers to help with the cause:
"Childhood hunger is a very serious issue in this country, and we want to be a part of the solution," Annica Kreider, VP of brand development, said in a news release.
Mellow Mushroom’s fundraising goal this year is $100,000.
In 2013, restaurants nationwide raised nearly $8 million for the No Kid Hungry campaign. More than 10,000 restaurants are participating in the fundraising campaign this year.
