We the undersigned are extremely upset at Toronto City Council's decision to not rename Centennial Football Stadium after former Mayor Rob Ford.

In addition to being elected to City Council for over a decade, including his time as Mayor, Rob was a passionate advocate for youth sports, and the need for kids to be given opportunities in life.

As a football coach and advocate, Rob helped launch football programs at numerous Toronto schools, and helped coach kids as they found a positive environment to build their skills as team members and leaders.

Through his football foundation, Rob made sure that if a student wanted to play, financial hardship would not be a barrier.

His willingness to help people, regardless of who they were, where they were from, or whatever their political views, have had a lasting effect on our community, and this should be reflected in a monument befitting his hard work.

We ask that City Council reconsider their decision, and allow Centennial Football Stadium to be renamed after Rob Ford.
