Welcome to our Climate Action Education website!

The North Vancouver School District believes that sustainability is an ethical responsibility and a strategic imperative. That's why we have made a commitment to sustainability as part of our strategic plan. Our goal is to reduce our environmental footprint, foster a culture of sustainability, and contribute to the overall well-being of the communities we serve. To achieve this, we continuously review our policies and practices through an environmental lens, promoting learning in, with, and about nature, providing climate action education, and supporting environmental initiatives from staff and students.

By prioritizing sustainability, we aim to create a better world for future generations and build a stronger, more resilient organization well-positioned for long-term success.

Climate change is one of the most pressing issues of our time, and it's up to all of us to take action to address it. That's why we're here – to provide you with the education and resources you need to positively impact our planet.

Our website is designed to help you learn about the causes and effects of climate change and the actions you can take to reduce your carbon footprint and make a difference in your community.

Whether you're a student, teacher, or concerned citizen, our website has something for everyone. We offer a variety of educational resources, including videos, articles, and interactive activities that make learning about climate change fun and engaging.

In addition to our educational content, we provide practical tips and advice for taking action. From simple lifestyle changes to community activism, there are many ways you can help reduce your impact on the environment.

We believe education is the key to creating a sustainable future, and we're committed to ensuring everyone has access to the knowledge and tools they need to make a difference. Join us in the fight against climate change – together, we can positively impact our planet.

As part of our commitment to promoting climate action and sustainability, we invite you to participate in our upcoming Climate Action and Sustainability Week!

This event will take place from Tuesday, April 11th to Friday, April 14th, 2023, and will be a week-long celebration of all the ways we can positively impact the environment. We'll have a variety of activities and events planned, including guest speakers, workshops, and community clean-up events.

Whether you're a student looking to learn more about climate change, a teacher interested in bringing sustainability into the classroom, or just someone who wants to make a difference, there will be something for everyone at Climate Action and Sustainability Week.
