1 dead, 1 critical in Port Richmond shooting

PORT RICHMOND (WPVI) -- Police say one man is dead and a second man is in critical condition after a shooting in Philadelphia's Port Richmond section.

It happened around 8:00 Sunday night near the intersection of East Cambria and Tulip streets.

Police say a man in his 20s was found with multiple gunshot wounds to the chest and side. He was later pronounced dead at an area hospital.

A second male victim, in his 30s, was shot twice in the back. He was first taken to Episcopal Hospital then later transferred to Temple University Hospital in critical condition.

No word what sparked the gunfire.

Police are investigating.
