Three-time Olympic women’s hockey champion can now add “police constable” to her long list of titles and accomplishments.
Twenty-seven-year-old Meghan Agosta is one of VPD’s new recruits sworn in this morning.
Agosta took the oath and received her badge along with more than a dozen other recruits.
Ontario-born Agosta won a gold medal in women’s hockey in three consecutive Olympic Games, in Turin, on home soil in Vancouver and Sochi.
She was named tournament MVP in Vancouver.
Agosta is also a two-time World Champion.

Agosta decided to become a police officer in high school.
She graduated with a degree in criminal justice from Mercyhurst College in Pennsylvania.
Her Meghan Agosta Foundation helps disadvantaged children to play hockey.
