Riverhead police have identified a 20-year-old man as the burglar who allegedly broke into a riverfront restaurant and stole cash in June, according to police reports.

Michael Settle of Riverhead was arrested Wednesday and charged with felony burglary, according to a police news release. The arrest came after a police investigation into a burglary at the Turkuaz Grill on McDermott Avenue on June 20, police said.

A previous police report stated the alleged burglar took cash from the restaurant.

A Riverhead Town court clerk said Mr. Settle was held on $2,500 bail after his arraignment Wednesday. He is due back in court on Sept. 30.
