There are probably a few things you want to change about your new home, whether it's making a few fixes or changing the place to suit your personal tastes.
If it's possible, complete any interior painting before you move in and after the previous residents move out. An empty home is the perfect place to paint. Similarly, if you need to do any work that involves turning off water or heat for an extended period of time, try to get it done before move-in day.
