To support our plans for expansion in 2014 and beyond we are searching for an eCommerce Manager, Paid Search Marketing (SEM).  This position will work out of our facility located in Buffalo Grove, Illinois. Our office is accessible via public transportation (Metra/Pace from Chicago to Antioch). 

The eCommerce (SEM) Manager will strategize, manage, and develop PPC strategy for all brands; manage annual PPC budget to meet forecasted revenue / profit; represent PPC in executive, business and team meetings; define and assign cyclical reporting; and represent the Search Marketing Team throughout the Zoro organization.  The position is responsible for growth of online customer acquisition via PPC, product listing ads, PPC website traffic, PPC website penetration, and search marketing revenue targets. The successful candidate is passionate about internet marketing and will capitalize on a “fail fast and iterate” methodology.  Zoro searches for entrepreneurial-minded talent that thrives in a collaborative environment focusing on collective solutions that drive additional business and continually improves the customer experience. 

In addition, the remainder of 2014 you will be working on:

• Lead the PPC team, of 4-10 direct reports, and vendors in paid search marketing activities across all Zoro brand websites, across multiple geographies, to support paid search growth goals.
• Contribute to strategic thought relative to paid search marketing.
• Define and spend search marketing budget for best ROI.
• Establish and deliver reporting and forecasting on business metrics (weekly and monthly).
• Implement roadmap for paid search marketing.
• Direct agency to meet and exceed Online Business Unit objectives for the overall program and by BU: revenue, expense, ROI, bid management, keyword strategy, optimization, innovation
• Develop testing platform for copy and landing page strategies.
• Manage the set-up, maintenance, and optimization of high-volume paid search metrics and reporting, including use of Google AdWords, Google Analytics and Kenshoo bidding tools.
• Manage high-volume PPC campaigns, including product listing ads using keyword research tools, Kenshoo, and other analytics tools; lead both internal resources and external vendors to the best-in-class ROI for PPC.
• Work in an ongoing capacity with cross-functional brand teams, segments, and multiple geography Zoro brands to support and implement PPC tactics.

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 7 - 10 years experience in paid search marketing strategy and implementation 
• 3 – 5 years experience with team leadership and management of paid search teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills.
• Expert knowledge of PPC writing, implementation and search algorithms via AdWords.
• Google AdWords certified and expert knowledge of paid search marketing.
• Ability to interact successfully with cross-functional teams, segment teams, handles multiple projects, and meets tight deadlines.
• Proven analytical skills
• Proven negotiation skills and expertise in managing suppliers and vendors to reach optimum performance
• Proven ability to develop strong relationships throughout an organization
• Proven ability to develop teams and organizational capabilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
• eCommerce background preferred, especially in retail
