Google Fit update brings widgets and guided exercises this holiday season
Some of you might remember that Google Fit received a major update back in August, which brought a new design and some important improvements. Several months later Google is back with yet another update that adds some nifty features to the Android app.

The first thing you'll notice after downloading the latest update is the option to add Google Fit widgets to your Android home screen. Going forward, you'll be able to pin a widget, which will greatly help when you want to quickly check your Heart Points, Move Minutes or any other daily stats.

In other words, Google Fit now has your last workout displayed on your home screen, so you can check it out easier and faster than ever. Also, whenever you manually log a workout in the journal, you'll have the option to adjust your activity intensity and get awarded more accurate Heart Points for it.

Last but not least, if you're using a Wear OS smartwatch, the latest Google Fit update will provide you with a guided breathing exercise meant to help you relax between last-minute gift shopping.

According to Google, these updates will be rolled out to Android phones and Wear OS smartwatches this week, so keep your eyes peeled for a new update if you have Google Fit app installed on your device.
