As moms we can fear pursuing our dreams or feel confused as to how we can spend time achieving our goals while still being present for our families. What if you set fear aside and became a doer of your dreams? These ideas will help you just do and not fear.

What is that one thing you been wanting to do that seems impossible, above your skill level, too expensive, or too hard? It’s the thing you dream about but you don’t pursue it. Have you ever asked yourself why that is?

Why don’t you go after your dreams?

Could it be that you fear failure?

It’s risky to step out of our comfort zone. Maybe you don’t know how to navigate through the unknown. Or perhaps you have allowed your past to define you and paralyze you from being who God created you to be.

Have you given up on yourself?

Did you know that God desires to do miracles in our life? He cares about our dreams and I believe God gives us vision.

Your dreams matter!

Perhaps your dream is to re-decorate your home or start your own business, or homeschool, go on a mission, or get in better shape.

All these things are possible and so much more. God will direct us and we need to be willing to be doers and not just dream.

Are You A Dreamer That Only Dreams?

A dreamer is one who waits for the best moment to take action and they are fearful of the unknown. They stay put, sleep, and stay comfortable in what they know.

Dreamers don’t like failure and doing something different is too risky.

I have learned that life doesn’t just happen while sitting around. We have to be on our feet ready to move with our road map highlighted! We have to climb a few mountains, cross some wild rivers, go through muddy waters, walk through some deserts, and pull weeds, and plant seeds before we reach our destination.

There is no sitting on a beach drinking rum and coke wondering when the next bus will come by and give us a lift up that steep mountain. It doesn’t work that way.

There are no free rides.

The process is more important than reaching our destination. God wants to do a good work in us and teach us how to climb, pull weeds, swim the seas, and plant seeds.

God cares more about our heart then our circumstances. While changing us for the better He might just let us wander in the desert while He is working on us.

Dreamers tend to have pity parties when they get stuck in a place they don’t want to be. They start whining half way up the mountain or they panic and start drowning in the deep end of the pool. Does this kind of thing happen to you? It has to me.

I see a mountain full of clutter in my basement and it just brings the grumpy out of me. I become the biggest cry baby ever and my adult tantrum is ridiculous. I may not show it on the outside – but there is a whole lot of nonsense going on in the inside of me and it’s not pretty.

Dreamers can become Doers!

I’m learning that I have a tendency to rely on myself too much. I’m discovering that God is the Doer in my life. He wants to do things through me. He prepares me for His doing. I do best when I’m a doer with the Doer.

God gets all the credit for making my dreams come to pass.

God also shows me grace and forgiveness. He doesn’t hold my past mistakes and failures against me. He fixes things up and renews me.

He is a God of second chances. He doesn’t keep my dreams from me because I messed up twenty years ago. It’s important to forgive ourselves and move on. It’s hard to move forward when we keep looking back.

Doing something new is risky but with God on our side we can be brave. He has our back!

Doers Do These:

1. Pray for a plan. Be willing to put all their energy into doing it even when others are hesitant.

2. They take Chances and Listen to that idea that is burning inside of them.

3. Doers commit to reaching their destination. They are excited to reach higher and put their hope into God’s provision. They surrender to God and let creativity come forth and focus on the end goal.

4. They stand up and take lead with courage, confidence, and Godly wisdom. They get educated in the things they don’t know. They take time out to study new things. Practice new skills and find opportunities to serve.

5. Doers pursue measurable and sustainable steps to take. They are faithful even when the step forward is mundane. They do everything unto the Lord with integrity, humility, thankfulness and put others above themselves. Doers do the one more thing. They put themselves out there!

6. They are flexible, make changes, press through discomfort, move with change, and understand that redirection is part of the process.

You Can Be A Doer Of Your Dreams!

Your dreams matter and no matter how impossible they feel, God desires to do miracles through you.
Getting from A to Z is a process and we will make mistakes along the way. It’s important to embrace mistakes as learning opportunities.

I’m becoming more of a doer of my dreams because I’m seeing the lessons that God is teaching me. The changes in my heart are more important to me than getting to my destination. I have made a few arrivals in my life and they definitely are high points. I’m grateful.

The challenges I faced were worth it and priceless. If I didn’t takes risks then I would have missed out on the transformation process that is necessary for change and growth.
