Norton Children's Hospital will soon have a new co-worker.The four-legged friend will be making rounds around the hospital to bring healing to patients.A $50,000 gift from Pet Smart Charities is letting the hospital add a facility therapy dog in spring 2020.Officials said the animals can comfort the patient and give them a way to verbalize their fears.The hospital receives approximately 400 requests each month for visits from therapy dogs.
