NYC Unicycle Festival Schedule

The two days on Governors Island is the perfect place for beginners, experts, and spectators. It will be two full days of unicycle based activities starting at noon on Saturday and Sunday.

Thursday, August 29

Manhattan ride from Battery Park to Central Park

10:00 am Meet at Battery Park North
Approximately four-hour ride to Central Park and back.

Friday, August 30

Brooklyn Unicycle Day

Times are approximate. If you are meeting up for a portion of the ride, it is advisable to get to meet up locations 45-60 minutes prior to scheduled time.

2:00 pm Riders gather on the East Side of City Hall Park (on Park Row, Manhattan)
3:00 pm Cross Brooklyn Bridge
4:00 pm Pass through Grand Army Plaza
5:00 pm Enter the Ocean Parkway bicycle path
6:00 pm Arrive at Nathan’s at Coney Island (arrival time is approximate)
6:30 pm Dinner break. Buy your own food and meet by Nathan’s Famous (Stillwell & Surf)
7:15 pm Group photo at Deno’s Wonder Wheel
9:30 pm Fireworks

Saturday, August 31

Governors Island

Noon Registration opens
Noon to 5:00 pm Open Riding
Noon to 5:00 pm Pimp My Uni Station
12:30 to 4:30 pm Learn to Ride
1:00 pm Workshop: Idling with Rodrigo Sanz
1:30 pm Unicycle Jump Rope Jam
2:00 pm Workshop: Artistic Group Unicycle with Fred Johnson
3:00 pm Unicycle Basketball with King Charles Troupe
4:00 pm Group Photo
4:15 pm One-Wheel Public Show, starting with Pimp my Uni Awards
4:55 pm Final Raffle for Unicycle
5:00 pm See You Tomorrow
