This is your personal invitation to become part of the team that carries out the largest Veterans Day Parade in the country!  

Join the UWVC volunteer team and dedicate your time and talents to honor and serve those who served our country. 

Your role is crucial to the overall success of a day where countless veterans and veteran supporters gather to join together from all over the country:  Veterans Day.  

Each year the annual NYC Veterans Day Parade features  30,000 marchers, 200 floats and other vehicles, as well as 400,000 spectators who gather along Fifth Avenue. 

Celebrate the Centennial 2019 NYC Veterans Day Parade by working behind the scenes (on our security, street management, communications, hospitality teams and more). 

Your first step to joining our team is to fill out our 2019 VDP Volunteer Application below.

Please note that due to the bulk of requests and questions our team receives during Parade Season- we ask that all potential and returning UWVC volunteers make their requests in writing to volunteer@uwvc.org. 

This is the best way to keep track, manage, in an orderly and time-efficient manner. 

Because your volunteer application and placement may take time to process - a confirmation email with your answers to the volunteer application is your receipt that your application has been received. 

Please do not call the UWVC office or contact any other UWVC team members with your volunteer requests.  All volunteer questions should be made to volunteer@uwvc.org.  

ABOUT THE NYC VETERANS DAY PARADE:  The New York City Veterans Day Parade is our nation’s largest event honoring service. Produced by theUnited War Veterans Council (UWVC), the Parade provides the public with the opportunity to salute our veterans and military, and raises awareness for organizations working to serve their needs. It is the centerpiece of an annual citywide effort to honor our veterans community.  The Parade features veterans groups and service providers, military units, youth and civic groups, top high school bands from across America, vintage vehicles, floats and more.
