Booking is now open for the Scottish Public Law Group’s ninth Annual Summer Conference, taking place on Monday 19 June 2017 at The Principal Edinburgh, George Street, Edinburgh.

The conference will cover key public law topics, including updates on recent public law cases from Scotland and the rest of the UK; developments in human rights law; an EU law update; and an examination of the impact of Brexit on various areas of public law.

The speakers and chairs include the Lord Advocate, Lord Bracadale (Senator of the College of Justice), Morag Ross QC (Faculty of Advocates), Professor Aileen McHarg (University of Strathclyde), Anneli Howard (Monckton Chambers), Amanda Weston (Garden Court Chambers), Laura-Anne van der Westhuizen (Faculty of Advocates), Professor Sionaidh Douglas-Scott (Queen Mary University of London); Gordon Downie (Shepherd + Wedderburn) and James Mure QC (Faculty of Advocates).

The event will be eligible for 5 hours CPD. Registration is from 9am – 9.25am. Lunch is provided. The conference will close at 5pm and will be followed by a drinks reception and opportunity to network until 6.30pm.  The full programme will be available shortly.
