Gabe, the Harbinger of Death has served almost 200 years earthbound as punishment, and now he has met the enigmatic Xee, but he can’t have her because the team is about to embark on a dangerous mission that will expose Gabriel’s dark past in this mesmerizing paranormal romance.

There is never a dull moment in this fast paced and smooth flowing plot that keeps readers hovering in anticipation with lots of suspense, excitement and passion. Xee’s troubled past has caused her to cut herself off from people and her para ability doesn’t help matters. When she meets Gabe sparks fly in every direction erupting in snarky comments and lots of attitude and the reader can’t help but get caught up in not only the angry passion but the red hot desire that flows between these two as they both try to do their job while fighting their attraction.

Spine tingling tension builds throughout this story as fate throws the entire team into chaos, truths are revealed and dangerous events are set in motion most of which Gabe is in some way responsible for. I have to say that I was on the edge of my seat through most of the book and really I am not sure just who the good guys are because from what I am reading they all have some messed up lives and the so called elders and all their bull is just plain evil. A word of caution there is also a very disturbing and evil event that some elder angels need to be drawn quartered and kept alive in a frozen vat of acid for eternity for (sorry I am still venting over that one).

This series gets more complicated as time goes on and so do the characters, not to mention there better be some heavy duty happiness at the end of it because these characters are sure put through hell. That being said I was completely caught up in this story and couldn’t put the book down until I had read every last word, even if I was cussing out some of the characters and I can’t wait to read the next one.

I am a fan of this author and an even bigger fan of this series. I was really looking forward to this book, I mean it is about the relationship of the angel of death, Gabe. I’m not sure how to sum up how I felt about it upon reading. Did I enjoy it? Yes. Was it what I expected? Yes and no. How to explain…. ermmm……. Lets start with the heroine, Xee. She is not your typical heroine, in looks at least she goes for a different look (pink Mohawk ands tattoos) and it is perhaps this and her.. attitude that make me love her. Oh yeah, and the fact the she likes girls. Well she does until she meets Gabe. Did I forget to mention that she also houses the soul of another being, known as her para-housed.

Gabe in this is a big ass!! He takes a long time to decide that he wants Xee and then when he does… oh boy, break out the fan! Will theirs be a happy ending though? Yes but they really have to go through hell to get there.

There are parts of the story that had me confused. Mainly the parts concerning Gabe’s brethren. I found those parts of the book, for want of a better word, over explained and yet under explained! You’ll understand when you read those parts.

All the characters we have grown to love are there too,, Jes, Draven, Bells, the twins, Dravaggio and Dietrich to name but a few. The story that has run through the previous books continues in this and indeed will continue in the next, Deitrich’s story. I for one will be one of the first in the queue to read it.

Please note I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This one is a wild ride. I’m relieved I already read Enslaved, Bonded and Burned so I completely understand what’s going on. Eden gives some background so you wouldn’t be lost coming in on this one but it’s definitely easier.

This is such a rollercoaster for the heart… without sharing spoilers, I’ll say that Eden manages to pull at the heartstrings in different aspects, if that makes sense. Romantic love and familial love are both strong in this series and Eden is a sadistic puppetmaster in regards to both.

We’re treated to new characters in this installment but all our old favorites (or enemies) are here. It’s still hard to figure out which side a couple of them are playing for which keeps it fun and hard to predict. As someone who predicts everything, I’m honestly too busy taking in all that’s going on here.

You might even find yourself feeling bad for demons and other evil creatures too, or relating to things you didn’t expect. Despite all of the action, drama, fighting, etc., this book can make you think too.

I cannot say enough about this series. I never want to leave it and recommend it to everyone.

What a story! I was taken up ,down and all around with this novella. It had me smiling and brought tears to my eyes in places. I'm off for the next installment and then I might just go back and read them again.

Holy goodness I freaking loooved this book, I love Tigris Eden, I am just in love. Tigris Eden has outdone herself again and I am just in complete awe of how awesome her writing style is.

Gabe's story which I have craved since the beginning was awesome. Xee and Gabe definitely do not hit it off right away which I love. Xee has a "take-no-sh*t" attitude really made me love her so much. She definitely pushes all of Gabe's buttons. It takes both of them a while to figure out their feelings for one another but when things start rolling dang you will need a high powered fan.

Why the no insta love well for one Gabe is leaving in two weeks, and Xee is well into women. Yup see the dilemma? Also, Xee is a Host and has a being inside her body which makes her a para-house. His name is Micha and he also likes women and talks to Xee and sometimes takes control of her body.

Our favorite characters Jes, Draven, Bells, the twins, Dravaggio and Dietrich make their appearances too. Xee finally gets some friends and has a mini crush on Bells which is awesome and adorable.

Everything about this story just had me loving it so much. Especially since many of the saying the characters say are the same as what I say (so suck it people who say I made those up). I also love the diversity of the characters so freaking much. Not many books I read have the amount of amazing diversity Tigris Eden puts in her books. Love this series and if you haven't read this series yet, get on it ASAP!!

Each book in this series leaves me with a book hangover!
This one is no different. We don't know much about Gabe from the other books, so I enjoyed finding out his back story. Angels are not my favorite types of characters, but I fell for Gabe.
Xee takes sh*t from nobody. Her witty, snarky comments kept me laughing.
There are many events that happen in this book that go along with the series, so I would suggest to read the previous books so that you can immerse yourself in this amazing world that Tigris has created.
My only issues, which were minor and didn't stop me from loving the story, were that I would have liked a little more back story on Xee and maybe her family. The other issue was that there were a lot of characters introduced and I got them confused at times. I think it was more my issue than the author's though. I am anxiously awaiting the next one in the series!!

*I did the re-editing of this work and thus cannot speak of any errors I may have or may not have found*

This book is probably the most emotional of the series thus far. There will be anger, confusion, and tears. You've been amply warned.

We've all be hearing about the Unit's tech guy, Gabriel since the very beginning. We all know he's the Angel of Death by now. This book gives the readers so much insight on Gabriel and why he was sent to Earth to begin with.

We also meet Kapua Hale, A.K.A. Xee and her Parahoused, Micah; and get to see a rare glimpse of a nicer Deitrich.

Things with THO start to come to a head in this book. There is a LOT of action and blood will fly everywhere. Characters the reader has grown to know will meet their ends, and some will achieve their redemption and become who they were meant to be.

This book is definitely worth the read and I can't wait to see what happens next in Awakened in Shadows.

I give this book 5 of 5 paws.

Author Tigris Eden has done it again. Redeemed in Shadows was freaking fantastic. I thought the previous books had betrayal written all in it but it didn’t stand a chance to the betrayal between the characters in this book. Whether they did it for selfish or personal reasons it all comes out in this book and no one is safe. The biggest betrayal came from Gabriel and I can honestly say I never saw that coming but he wasn’t the only one. Everyone has their battles to fight and they have to fight and face them alone. They may be a unit, but in this book it truly comes down to the last ones standing. Things might go back to normal but they will never be the same. I highly recommend this book to readers who love paranormal reads and I cannot want to read the next book in the series.

The third in the series of the Shadow Unit is living up to the first two. Very detailed to give it a realistic feeling of a paranormal novel. Each series takes on a new set of love story yet keeps building on the couples that have come before. So far, the couple in this novel, Daniel and Kapua, I have enjoyed the most. Nothing like a Angel breaking the rules to find their true love and become a Fallen Angel. If you are looking for a paranormal series that is believable, well written, pays attention to detail and to get you back into good grace with the genre, this is the series to pick up.

Tigris sure knows how to write a fantastic paranormal book and Redeemed In Shadows is no exception. In this wonderful and unusual world the reader is introduced to Gabe (Harginger of Death and Kapua (Xee) Hall and the sparks are flying between them. Again Tigris gives us complex characters and an exciting plot making Redeemed a definite must read!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Best one yet

Xee is a Host with a mouthy soul inside her. Gabe has a couple of weeks to find his replacement and then he must go face his sins. He is the Angel of Death. I laughed, I cried, and got a little grossed out. Loved the characters and loved reading about the rest of the team.

Story was very good. I love the idea behind Xee and Micha. I have feeling when all is said and done Jes will be sad about actions she took :(. Looking forward to D's book up next :).

One problem for me was all the spelling and sentence structure.

3rd book in the series
It is 5 days since i read the first book and i have just finished the third!!......that gives you some idea as to how involved i am in this series, i really can not read the books quick enough, they are so addictive. The books are so well written you cant help but become involved with the characters and invested in the ongoing plot.
This book is about Gabe, the Harbinger of Death and Xee, a quirky, tough but vulnerable character who carries another being inside her, Micah. It is very easy to guess that Micah is not who she think he is.
This story is just as fast paced and exciting as the others and you are really taken through the ringers emotionally in this book. Happy endings? not even close!! Blood, guts and gore a plenty. I also wanted to skin a couple of the characters myself!
There is so much going on that i found myself going back a few pages now and again to make sure i was on the right track. This is not a bad thing. I was just reading so quickly to find out what was going to happen next!
I love the fact that characters that have had their own stories are in this story as well and are developing as the plot develops.
NEEEEXT! .....Yes, i have the next book ready.
