Pace Football Fan Fest A Success

PLEASANTVILLE, NY- The Pace University Football team hosted Fan Fest yesterday on Pace Field in Pleasantville. The event featured several activities for all fans in attendance which began with team photos from 12pm-1pm. Following team photos, the Pace Football players ran a youth clinic that included teams from surrounding towns such as White Plains, Tarrytown/Sleepy Hollow and Ossining.

All children in attendance ran drills with current members of the Pace Football team and Head Coach Andy Rondeau addressed the group following the event. Each child received a 2014 edition schedule magnet and Pace Athletics wayfarer sunglasses which fans will receive at the home opener on September 6. After the clinic all participants received free pizza and autographed posters from the team.

To conclude the day the Pace Football team participated in the #IceBucketChallenge and challenged Faculty Athletic Representative and Criminal Justice Professor Peg Fitzegerald, Associate Athletics Director and Head Softball Coach Claudia Stabile as well as Dan Buffone, Associate Director of the tutoring center in Pleasantville to participate. The team also invited all fans to attend the home opener on September 6. Donations for ALS will be collected throughout the game. Video of this event will be posted shortly.
