This collection caught my eye because of the military theme. Having a active duty son it is one of my favorite genres. On top of that it also benefits charity. The pearl in all of this is I have not read any of the authors who have stories in this. Going through each one was a pleasure with the romance being the emotional thrill. This collection will pull you on different levels depending on the story. They also have their own signature with characters that take center stage. Not one is the same thank goodness. Glad I did not pass this one up.

10 authors came together and wrote about solders for Veterans Day! These stories are very special to me because I’m a army spouse thank you to all the authors for writing these amazing stories! I read each and everyone of these stories from deployments and love of their lives to losing someone they care about. Their was a true story about a authors grandfather and a story about a solder and his dog! Loved all the stories and one about his father being in the military and a high school reunion and last but not least a guy meets a girl before his deployment they got together but stayed friends when he got Back he wanted to win back his girl! I loved all the stories!

I love anthologies, they allow you to find lots of new authors and take them out for a short spin. This Military inspired novel did an excellent job in that respect. The stories were inspiring and well written. Each amazing story was a little glimpse into each of the ten different authors mind.
I loved the mixed bag of stories but all with that same thread running through them Hope and duty, each one brought a smile or a tear to my face.

~Heartache and Hand Grenades by Ember-Raine Winters
Raine Winters is a new Author to me, and I adored her story. From the beginning, I had connected feeling sorry for Buck because of what he endure during his time in the military. Though, I totally understood Jesse’s decision to let go of Buck so that he could focus on his career, she should’ve never hid Chloe. But that makes the story even better. Loved the read.

~Losing You by HB Jasick
So, this story was emotional for me. Poor Tabby had gone through so much loss yet had gained quite a bit in her life at the same time. What hit me the most is the fact that we all grow old, and unfortunately some things just aren’t meant to be, or we aren’t ready for them. This Author did great writing this story. And I especially liked how she incorporated Brandon in the mix. Great read!

~Before The Wrongs by Bella Emy
Man this was a great read, but I’ve always enjoyed this Author’s stories. She knows how to capture an audience. My heart was torn when Angel and Nick separated, and all because of not knowing something so drastic. And then to put two and two together, I didn’t realize this is the story before two wrongs make a right. I plan on reading more of this Author’s work in the future.

~Honey You Saved Me by Aleisha Marie
I thought this was a sweet lil story. The characters had went through quite a bit in their lives and pushed through with the help of one another. It’s one of the sweetest things I love to read in a story.

~Range of Fire by Meg B. Alexander
I absolutely loved this story. Cam and Cj’s relationship is just perfect and Finn makes it even better. The way this Author threw in that Cj was a sniper caught my attention. It’s unique. I look forward to reading more of her work.

~Griffin Six by Tiffany Carby
This was a cute story, and centered around Six who helped save Manny’s life. What he wouldn’t do for her? Manny meets Kel as he brings Six for a checkup, and they hit it off leading to a future together. I definitely enjoyed this story.

~Heart of the South by Colin M. Vaughan
I have to say that my heart was in this story. And I sided with Anna that Enoch was better off staying home. I usually don’t read many books about war, but this Anthology is an exception. I look forward to reading more from this Author.

~Dancing Around You by JL Long
This story was a little heart wrenching for me. It was adorable and sad all at the same time. I loved how this Author had Gwen and James meeting up because they were meant to be. I’ll be following more of her work.

~Without You by Shannon Nemechek
This story is about two people who were meant to be together. Britney’s dad didn’t see Tanner as someone good enough for his daughter since he came from nothing, but you can’t mess with true love. A good read.

~Dear Pinup, by Lynzie Allen
This was a unique story, and I enjoyed reading about their relationship/friendship while he was as deployed. I wish it ended on more of a promising note, but it didn’t stop me from wanting to read it all the the way through. Such a great story.

Ten Stories of Veterans and Active Duty Military Members, and the Women They Love

This is an enjoyable collection of sweet military themed romance stories. I really enjoyed reading each one, but I especially enjoyed the first two novels in the set. They stood out to be the most.

Heartaches and Hand Grenades by Ember-Raine Winters. Coming home from war is never easy, but coming home to discover that everyone you know, including your own mother, have kept a huge secret from you since you left is even harder.

Losing You by HN Jasick. Oh my, Losing You had me in tears more times than I care to admit. (In a good way). It was such a beautiful, humble story. I don’t want to spoil the plot so I won’t say anything more on it.

I truly enjoyed this set of books. Being as the proceeds go to charity made this deal even sweeter. This is a definite must read set. I would definitely recommend it!

Victor. Echo. Tango. Love is a wonderful anthology that has all the feels. All the authors write about love and heartache, war and returning home. Stories of those left behind and those that do not come home. I laughed and cried. Here is my thoughts on each story by these gifted authors.

Heartache and Hand Grenades by Ember-Raine Winters is the first book in the anthology and the first of many I am sure that will make me cry. Buck, Country, Jessie, Mama, Bubba and little Chloe stole my heart in this feel good story. The characters are wonderful and the story heartfelt with a little suspense.

Losing You by HB Jasick is a story of love, loss and love again. When you lose the one you love above all else, it’s hard to move on and start again. Tabitha had to do this, not once but twice. The loss of Mathew and then Brandon would have broken most people but Tabby kept going, kept her family strong only to be rewarded with a Forever love in the end. Wonderful story.

Before the Wrongs by Bella Emy is a wonderful yet a very real story about how going to war can change a person. Nick and his best of friends go off to the seals but they do not come while!! Before Nick left he met Allie, a wild and passionate girl who he fell deeply in love with. Once he returns it is her love for Nick that helps him go on after such dark times. Loved this short story and cannot wait to read Two Wrongs Make a Right!!

Honey You Saved Me by Aleisha Maree is such a sad and emotional story of times when fathers abused their wives and children without remorse and young boys went to war to escape only to find another form of horror. When Graham returned from war he was hell bent on leading a good honest live and find the love of a good women. Graham found Dulcie and even though she was scarred and broken together they found love and peace and a life of happiness. Beautiful story.

Range Of Fire by Meg B. Alexander tells a story of chance encounters that bring two unlikely people together. Cam had his life all perfectly situated, a firefighter/paramedic, has the love of his family and friends yet the only thing missing is a love of his own.Cam finds himself drawn to a girl he has met twice at different calls and once he opens his heart to Clara, his life will never be the same again. Clara, a struggling war vet finds herself suddenly raising a six year old (Finn, who I adore)all by herself. Closed off from her past, she finds herself falling for Cam, but can she let him in. A wonderful story that I couldn’t put down.

Griffin Six by Tiffany Carby had me in tears almost immediately. Anything involving animals and I am
a goner. The story of Manny Griffin being saved by a dog Sierra Six, while serving his Country was so touching to read. In return for Six saving his life, Manny returned the favour and took her home with him. There they both met the beautiful and talented Veterinarian Kel. Kel gave love and hope for a future to Manny and his dog and in return she found the one to spend her life with and follow her dreams. Gorgeous story.

Heart of the South by Colin M. Vaughan was a tough story to read because of the detail and debt that went into it, making it sad and frightening. What these men and women went through and the struggle to stay alive and safe was intense. The love between Enoch and Anna and for their son was heartwarming and the loss of friends heartbreaking. Very well written story.

Dancing Around You by J.L Long brought tears to my eyes. This beautiful and romantic story filled my heart as I read about the love between Gwen and James. A love that was destined to exist at a time it was meant to be. After such tragedy James and Gwen find one another and from that day on they shared a life so full that their kids and grandkids would tell the most amazing stories about.

Without You by Shannon Nemechek is a cute short story about young love being stopped short by a controlling father. As time goes by, this war hero finds his love once again. Super sweet.

Dear Pinup by Lynzie Allen is a story I absolutely adored. From the first moments that Logan and Charlotte met, through all the letters and finally how their love story ended I was entranced by it. Would love to read more from Lynzie Allen for sure.

I absolutely loved the idea of this anthology featuring various military love stories. Each story is a different trope ranging from second chance, historical, and friends to lovers. There were a few stories that I absolutely loved and connected with the storyline and characters right away. I felt the novella was complete and I didn't feel it was rushed or lacking at all. Others however while I appreciated the storyline and characters I did not connect as well with them. The stories that I had a more difficult time with I just wanted a little more. There were parts that just did not flow for me personally and then it was over. That being said the stories that really hooked me were fantastic and worth the read!!
