A few updates to everyone in our great LSC of almost 13,000 swimmers:

Earlier in the month we finalized the the 2015-2016 Long Course  and Short Course Middle Atlantic Swimming Top 10 has been updated with all times swum through 9/1/16.  Congratulations to all swimmers

Registration is moving very FAST!  Keep in mind that the early discount of $2 per swimmer will end on October 15.   We must have both the registration file and the payment in our office on that day for the discount to be applied.  Please check your Club Portals often this fall so you can see your athlete roster.  This will help you to know who can enter meets.  Remember that unregistered athletes are NOT allowed to swim in a sanctioned meet and the meet host and offending club will be fined for any athlete that participates that is not registered.  Many clubs have renewed for 2017!  The early discount for club renewal will end October 31.  The fee will move to $150 after that date.

USA Swimming MembershipAccessing Your Digital Membership Card– USA Swimming has decided to move away from the physical membership packet and offer an on line digital card.  The on line card will provide athletes with easy accessibility if they need a copy of their card at any time, connect them to our partners and increase USA Swimming’s brand awareness.  Read More Here

Swim Meets - Many swim meets have started within the LSC, and it will be great to follow each of our athletes.  Meet Results, Pre Meet Psych Sheets as well as post meet surveys are here.  We value all of the opinions of all of our swimmers, parents, and officials at each of our Middle Atlantic swim meets.  Please take time to fill out the surveys.  As Meet Directors for each of the meets send us their pre meet psych sheets, we will post these here.  As we have swim meets CLOSE due to over subscription, we will post them here

We are looking forward to the Middle Atlantic Swimming Mid Winter Classic Meets in January. These meets will be held at both Parkland High School and Cumberland Valley High School.  We have a few (6) quick questions for everyone.  Please take our quick survey

Over the next few weeks we will release our 2017 qualifying times for our Middle Atlantic swimming Championship Series which include SR Champs, JO's, Silver Champs, and Bronze Champs

Congrats Kate:  The Middle Atlantic Lifetime Membership Award was established in 2006 to recognize and reward the valuable contribution of an individual’s service to Middle Atlantic Swimming. The award is presented annually to an honoree at the United States Aquatic Sports Convention.   The 2016 recipient, Kate Scheuer,  was quite surprised when USA Swimming President Jim Sheehan presented her with this award.  Kate coaches at Upper Dublin Aquatic Club and has been active in Middle Atlantic as the Zone Team Manager for many years. She is also on the Board of Directors serving in the position of Age Group Chair.  Congratulations, Kate!

Congrats George: Congratulations to our very own Coach George Breen who was inducted into the ASCA Hall of Fame on Thursday evening at the ASCA World Clinic in Fort Lauderdale. George is currently a  coach at Jersey Wahoos swim club, where he very rarely misses a Zone meet, coaching the 10 and unders.  George also served on the US Swimming National Board of Directors from 1977-96, on the US Swimming Olympic Committee from 1972-96, and as President of the American Swimming Coaches Association from 1975-76.  George is the only male who, as a swimmer, has been inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame, and, as a coach, has been inducted into the American Swimming Coaches Association  Hall of Fame
