Six White House employees were escorted from the Executive Mansion after failing to pass FBI background checks.
According to Western Journalism, the staffers failed to pass the “Questionnaire for National Security Positions,” a 127-page document that includes questions related to the applicant’s credit score, medical records, employment history, family history, substance use and other personal subjects.
One of the staffers dismissed was Caroline Wiles. The director of scheduling is the daughter of President Trump’s Florida campaign manager.
Wiles, who resigned Friday before the background check was completed, was appointed deputy assistant secretary before the inauguration in January. Politico reports that she will instead work at the Treasury Department.
The White House has yet to comment on the dismissals.
