All who are selected to participate in CFR’s Blavatnik Internship Program and Robina Franklin Williams Internship Program receive training in the field of foreign policy and international affairs as well as skills training in writing, research, program planning and much more.   The Foreign Affairs, Marketing Product intern will learn valuable project management skills in an agile environment. They will learn about the process of handling off designs to development, leading and managing a team of developers, as well as requirement gathering for launching new products.   CFR internships are paid, require a 14 - 18 hour commitment, and are filled on a rolling basis.   CFR’s summer internship program gives interns the opportunity to choose whether to work in our office in a hybrid capacity (half in the office, and half remote), or on an offsite fully remote basis.

They will develop and deepen their graphic design skills for a reputable brand and will be exposed to marketing strategies, composing of digital operations, social media, analytics and more. The intern will also learn about niche marketing as we try to target specific communities. The intern will have the unique opportunity to see the inner workings of a major magazine and foreign policy journal.   CFR internships are paid, require a 14 - 18 hour commitment, and are filled on a rolling basis.   Please note that all internships are offered on a hybrid (half in the office, half remote) or fully remote basis. All internships are paid positions (no exceptions can be made on this). As such, all interns must have the legal right to work in the United States and be based in the United States for the duration of the internship.

CFR’s Blavatnik and Robina Franklin Williams internships give selected interns the opportunity to receive training in the area of foreign policy; as well as skills training in areas such as writing, research, and program planning.   As Foreign Affairs pursues innovative ways to reach a larger audience for the magazine, it is rolling out projects focusing on editorial taxonomy, SEO Research and website optimization. The intern will learn about content optimization for Google as it relates to international politics and political science. Foreign Affairs produces academic resources such as Foreign Affairs Books and Custom Textbooks. These titles are used by professors in International Relations, Foreign Policy, and International Political Economy from universities and colleges in the U.S. and Canada. The internship offers an exciting opportunity to learn about marketing, outreach, and academic publishing at the preeminent journal of international affairs.   CFR internships are paid, require a 14 - 18 hour commitment, and are filled on a rolling basis.   Please note that all internships are offered on a hybrid (half in the office, half remote) or fully remote basis.
