Are you looking to have a unique handmade touch to your wedding, but can’t seem to find what you are looking for in the average wedding shops and sections of run of the mill craft or big box stores? Do you like the look of handmade items, but are not in to the whole DIY thing? Fear not! I bring you to the fabulous and wonderful world of Etsy!
My long time readers know that I am an uber fan of this handmade and vintage haven. I enjoy supporting individual artisans and vendors not just for the look of handmade without me losing fingerprints to my glue gun, but also for the good feeling that comes along when one’s purchase means supporting someone you can actually put a face to. Don’t get me wrong, there are some finds to be had in traditional wedding shops and sections, but there is nothing compared to the feeling handmade items can give to your nuptials.
You may wonder, “How can I find all that I need on Etsy?” From your bridal gown to attendant gifts, Etsy has just about everything but the venue to help you plan your wedding with bits and bobs that are uniquely yours. Many shops do custom work, such as the bolero jacket I just purchased for my own wedding. If you are concerned about purchasing something you haven’t seen, I can tell you that my jacket is far above anything I could have found in just about any bridal salon and encourage you to take the time to look at feedback from a shop’s customers prior to purchasing. For my jacket, all I did was send in my measurements and when it came to my door, it was perfect!
I’ve put together three treasuries for you to get a sense of the wide variety of wedding themes and color palettes that Etsy can accommodate.
