EVERGREEN , Colo., June 15 (UPI) -- A fawn walked into a Colorado home and seemed to be trying to take a bath before it was discovered and released back into the wild.

Jefferson County Sheriff's Office shared a photo of the baby deer waiting for its bath. The homeowners said they called police out of fear that the animal might have been injured.

"Only in the Mountains," they wrote. "This lost fawn wandered into a home in Evergreen last night and, thinking it was bath time, hopped right in the tub."

Deputies S. Steele and B. Corbin arrived at the home and determined that the fawn was uninjured and had simply become lost without its mother.

The officers removed the deer from the bathtub and set it free outside the home to reunite with its mother.
