EXPERT DIY TIPS Baking Soda, Vinegar & Hydrogen Can Overthrow Corporations

Don’t get me wrong, we all have to pay rent! The rules of this land are based on “money”. So one way or another we need to continue this economy. But the truth is if we continue as we currently are buying and consuming more and more, no matter how much money you have, it won’t save you if we keep hurting the earth.

I’m not exaggerating with a world that an average Ethiopian has 40lbs of clothing in a lifetime, while an american has 40lbs of clothing in ONE week of laundry, the amount of “things” we acquire is ridiculous. Think of the garbage of trash outside the house after XMas…so much unnecessary packaging.

The truth is we can’t completely stop purchasing necessary items but I was delighted to discover small things you can change at home that create a large impact on the planet.

Toothpaste You simply make a paste out of baking soda and hydrogen peroxide. You will have to experiment a bit to get the right consistency but also figure out how much or how little of peppermint or cinnamon essential oil you might want to flavor it with.

Face Wash Here again, baking soda is the key. Simply wash with a bit of baking soda and not only does it softly exfoliate but it also balances your skin with alkaline minerals.

Shampoo You guessed it baking soda does the same on your face as your hair. Another secret is vinegar wash. Sounds fake but give it a try, hey google it…I’m not lying.

As first you may imagine the above three items seem to be more of a nuisance then a savior. But put into account how much you spend each month for each item then compare to how much you spend in 6 months to a year with just simple baking soda, hydrogen peroxide, vinegar and essential oils … it start to add up. Now add the amount of packing that will NOT be turned into a pile of plastic trash in the pacific ocean and subtract the amount of oil and carbon monoxide that will NOT go into the ozone layer cuz there won’t be a crazy shipping route from “commodities” to “manufacturer” to “packaging” to “distribution” to your “home cabinets”.

Corporate america will definitely start to hear our protest. The dent in their business will be bigger then all the marches and sit-ins in the world. Reclaiming what we consume will give the power back to the consumer away from capitalism and you can still buy your (locally grown) coffee at the corner (mom/pop owned) cafe.
