A Japanese DJ has been forced to deny that she’s the wife of Keith Flint, after it emerged that she shares the same name as his spouse.
Mayumai Kai’s Twitter page was swamped with hundreds of comments after she shared a link to a news story that confirmed the Prodigy frontman’s death.

Confused by the comments, Kai then hired an interpreter who explained that fans thought she was the Mayumi Kai who was married to the late musician.
Posting on Instagram, Kai explained that she is not Flint’s wife – who is a DJ.
“There has been a big misunderstanding. I am not the DJ Mayumi who is the wife of the late musician Keith Flint,” she wrote on Instagram.
“I am not a native English speaker but I recognised some of the language used towards me in the comments and had a translator inform me of the situation.
“It deeply saddens me to hear of Keith’s passing. I am a big fan of Prodigy and I have played their songs many times before. My heart goes out to Keith’s family as well as friends and fans! He will be truly missed and may his music live on forever.”
Flint’s real wife is yet to break her silence amid reports that she split from the star last year.
Meanwhile, Johnny Rotten was the latest star to pay tribute to Flint in Los Angeles last night.
In the wake of Flint’s death the details of his final hours have also been emerging. It was revealed that he had been seen completing a Park Run in Essex over the weekend, while others had seen him buying lunch for his personal trainer in a local pub.
