Roscongress Foundation and Norwegian-Russian Chamber of Commerce agree to cooperate
The Roscongress Foundation and the Norwegian-Russian Chamber of Commerce signed a cooperation agreement on 24 May as part of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. The document was signed by Alexander Stuglev, Chairman of the Board and CEO of the Roscongress Foundation, and Liv Monica Stubholt, Chair of the Board of Directors of the Norwegian-Russian Chamber of Commerce.
The agreement envisages building partnership relations and developing long-term cooperation in arranging effective communications between expert communities and business and political circles of the Russian Federation and the Kingdom of Norway.
The main areas of cooperation include development of shared communication platforms at the international level; efforts to establish new, long-term partnership links between representatives of business communities; support for dialogue on cooperation in the investment and finance sector, export and import activity, and in tourism and cultural cooperation.
“We want to boost ties with companies in the Russian Federation. We believe that cooperation with business organizations will help members of the Chamber achieve their business goals, and that our task is to increase sales between the neighbours. The Roscongress Foundation is just such an organization”, Liv Monica Stubholt stressed.
Under the agreement, the parties plan to provide mutual advisory, information, and expert support on current issues on the economic and social agenda; organize joint congresses and exhibitions of both a bilateral and a multilateral nature on economic and social issues; and also share information for objective and comprehensive publicizing of joint events.
“We look forward to starting our cooperation with the Roscongress Foundation, exchanging opinions, experience and ideas over the next few years. We are working in a difficult period but, even now, there are many new opportunities for business. Together with the Roscongress Foundation, we will try to show that, for members of the Chamber, such opportunities definitely exist”, Ms Stubholt underlined at the conclusion of the signing ceremony.
