Delaware State Police seek armed felon

Police are asking for assistance in locating a Delaware woman wanted for aggravated assault.

The Delaware State Police are continuing to seek the public’s assistance in locating Ashley N. Gray, 27 of Seaford, DSP MCpl. Gary Fournier said Wednesday, August 31.  Gray is wanted by the state police for felony assault in the first degree and possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony.

On Thursday July 21 around 3:30 p.m., troopers responded to a residence located in the 12000 block of Jones Dogwood Drive in Bridgeville for a reported assault. Upon their arrival, it was determined that a 53-year-old male had been cut across the neck with some type of blade after a verbal altercation between the man and Gray became physical.

Gray fled the area after the incident in a grey passenger car. Her current location is unknown.

The male victim was transported to an area hospital where he was admitted due to the severity of his injury. He was treated and has since been released.

Gray may be in the Laurel area. Anyone with knowledge of her exact whereabouts is asked to call Detective M. Doughty at 302-752-3794.
