Santa Claus Hired as New Interim Asst. Dragons Coach

Moorhead, Minn. – Athletics Director Doug Peters and the Minnesota State University Moorhead Dragons announced today the hiring of Santa Claus as a seasonal assistant coach during the holidays.

“I really wanted to bring a little more experience to the Dragon Athletics staff, and Kringle has more seasons under his big black belt than our whole staff combined.” said Peters.

Don't let Santa Claus fool you; he can dunk more than just cookies in milk. Santa is a flat out baller. He used to wear number 25 when he played at North Pole University. When delivering presents he still relives his glory days by slamming the presents down the chimney just like the old days. He even rocks a cashmere red suit that would make Dwayne Wade jealous.

Although not known for his speed, Claus will coach the Dragons track and field team with the same technique he implemented in teaching reindeer how to fly.  And for wrestling, let's put it this way, has anyone ever heard of someone wrestling a cookie away from the big guy and lived to tell about it?  Didn't think so.  He does however struggle in diving a he has a tendency to go for the big splash over the big score, but his buoyant belly helps him glide across the water to victory.

You won't however be able to find Claus at the games. He's busy preparing for his yearly trip around the world to scout the little boys and girls who will someday be the future of Dragon Athletics.
