MUMBAI: The medical report of the 14-year-old victim in the Borivli kidnapping and rape case has confirmed that the girl was raped by the one of the two accused on a number of occasions.
The crime branch had rescued the victim on Sunday from a hotel in Goa and arrested two youths, identified as Manish Khanolkar (23) and Kalpesh Parmar (26). The two, who have been booked for kidnapping, threatening and rape, were handed over to the Borivli police station and remanded in police custody.
The girl was kidnapped and taken to various hotels in Sindhudurg, Nashik, Shirdi and Goa.
Sources said the Nagpada police hospital on Thursday sent the report to the Borivli police confirming that the girl was raped on several occasions. DCP (Zone 11) Dr Mahesh Patil said, ''I am not aware of the medical report but we have already applied Section 376 (rape) of the IPC on the accused.''
To make a watertight case, the police are also likely to carry the DNA test of the accused to know as to who raped her.
There are reports that one of the boys had threatening to kill the victim's grandmother and uncle repeatedly raped her while other helped him.
Following allegations of goof-up of the DCP Patil has called for the papers of the case and is making inquiries as to whether the Borivli police did any blunder in handling the case. Bhagwan Chate, the senior inspector of Borivli rubbished the charges of goof-up stating that there are lot of things which he cannot open as it may hamper their investigations and bring more stigma to the victim girl.
The victim, who is an orphan and was staying with her uncle and grandmother, went missing on October 11. It was later discovered that two local goons, who had earlier eve-teased her, were also missing.
