How Local NFL and College players fared week 3

NFL Players

Case Keenum – Former Wylie player who played collegiately at the University of Houston, now with Denver, completed 19 of 35 for 222 yards and rushed three times for 16 yards and a touchdown as the Broncos won 20-19 over Oakland.

Ryan Tannehill – Former Big Spring player who played collegiately at Texas A&M, now with Miami completed 17 of 23 for 168 yards and two touchdowns and rushed eight times for 44 yards as the Dolphins won 20-12 over the New York Jets.

Taylor Gabriel – Former ACU player, now with Chicago, had three rushes for 17 yards and four catches for 30 yards as the Bears won 24-17 over Seattle.

James Washington – Former Stamford player who played collegiately at Oklahoma State, now with Pittsburgh, had one catch for 14 yards and a touchdown as the Steelers lost 42-37 to Kansas City.

Kenny Vaccaro – Former Early player who played collegiately at Texas, now with Tennessee, had six tackles as the Titans won 20-17 over Houston.

College Players

Michael Lawrence – Former Sweetwater player, a junior at North Texas, had three catches for 24 yards as the Mean Green won 44-17 over Arkansas.

Dion Novil – Former Wylie player, a sophomore at North Texas, had three tackles for the Mean Green.

Jarrett Stidham – Former Stephenville player, a junior at Auburn, completed 16 of 28 for 198 yards and one touchdown and rushed five times for 8 yards as the Tigers lost 22-21 to LSU.

Clay Johnston – Former Wylie player, a junior at Baylor, had a game-high 11 tackles as the Bears lost 40-27 to Duke.

Abram Smith – Former Abilene High player, a redshirt freshman at Baylor, saw action for the Bears.

Dax Neese – Former Albany player, a freshman at Texas Tech, saw action as the Raiders won 63-49 over Houston.

Coy McMillon – Former Abilene High player, a freshman at TCU, saw action as the Horned Frogs lost 40-28 to Ohio State.

Hunter Thedford – Former Comanche player, a junior at SMU, saw action as the Mustangs lost 45-20 to Michigan.
