A grant will help the YMCA of the Fox Cities teach seniors how to stay connected.
Scott Schanhofer is the executive of the Neenah-Menasha location, and he says technology like Zoom and Face Time can be a lifeline. He says they can prevent seniors from feeling isolated, because they can communicate with family and friends remotely, and still be safe.
The program will launch next month, and the $50,000 grant will cover the costs for two years. Schanhofer says they were working on the proposal before the pandemic.
