Saviors Hero Pack

Due to technical issues with the registration event, we have decided to gift the Saviors Hero Pack to all Lineage II Classic accounts with a level 20 character or higher.  The Saviors Hero Pack items will be sent to the highest level Lineage II Classic character on your account.  The pack items can be claimed in your Private Warehouse (accessed through the Warehouse Keeper NPC) after the update has gone live. Your Saviors Hero Pack will include the following items:

  • Ring of Savior – Magical ring that provides the following benefits: Stun Resistance +5%, HP Recovery +1.8 and MP Recovery +1.1 when running. Effects do not stack if two identical rings are equipped. Cannot be enchanted.

  • Eva’s Mark – Evoke the beauty of the seas when wearing this majestic hairpin. Uses 1 hair accessory slot. Cannot be exchanged, dropped, or sold. Can be stored in private warehouse; can be shared within account.

  • Mount – Elk (30-day) – Improve your ability to travel with the Elk Mount. Cannot be exchanged, dropped or sold in private store. Can store in a warehouse. Can be transferred between characters on one account using Dimensional Merchant.

  • XP/SP Rune – 50% (7-day) – When in your inventory, your XP/SP gain is increased by 50% for 7 days. Cannot be exchanged, dropped, or used in the private store or NPC Store. Can be shared within the account and stored in a private warehouse.

  • Timed Weapon Exchange Coupon (D-grade) – Exchange for a 30-day D-grade weapon through the Dimensional Merchant. Exchanged weapons cannot be enchanted, exchanged, or dropped. The Timed Weapon Exchange Coupon is untradable.

Rune System

The Rune System is new feature being added to the Lineage II Classic Servers with this update. The system allows players to apply a special ability with a Rune to a weapon that is D-grade or higher to increase your stats. The blacksmiths in each village (except the starter villages) can mount or extract the desired rune, and also exchange the sealed rune.

Players can obtain Sealed Runes at Stage 1 from defeating Raid Bosses. Double-clicking on a Sealed Rune – Stage 1 will give a random type of Rune with the same stage. There are eight different types of Runes that can be upgraded to Stage 13.

How to Combine Runes

Runes can be combined through the Compounding icon in the bottom of the inventory window. Runes that are Stage 1~12 can only be compounded with a Stage 1 Rune of the same type. You cannot compound two Stage 12 Runes.

The left slot in the compound window is reserved for the main target rune that you want to upgrade. The right slot is reserved for the rune material that will be used to upgrade (Stage 1).

Successfully compounding the main target rune will consume the rune material in the right slot, while upgrading the main target rune to a higher stage. Failing the compound will result in the complete destruction of the main target rune in the left slot, while only leaving the Stage 1 rune material intact.

 

Applying a Rune to your Weapon

You may only apply runes to D-grade weapons or higher. The rune application process through any Blacksmith NPC has a 100% success rate, but only one rune can be applied to a weapon. Enchant levels and augments will NOT be deleted after a rune is applied to a weapon.

Rune Replacement

Hunting Zones

Devil’s Isle

  • Recommended Hunting Level: 70~75

A cursed island located south of the Giran Habor. The underwater island is made up of three different zones for solo hunting, party hunting, and the ultimate showdown with the legendary Pirate Captain Zaken. You can teleport to Devil’s Isle through the Gatekeeper in the Town of Giran.

Different monsters will spawn throughout the hunting zone depending on the time in-game (day/night). Night time monsters will have “Shadow Curse” in their title and will preemptively attack any player nearby.

Solo Hunting: The Eastern area of the underwater island is for solo hunting. Zaken’s Treasure Chests will randomly appear in 5 of the solo hunting areas, but only one of the treasure chests will give rewards. You cannot receive rewards from Zaken Treasure’s Chest more than once per day. The treasure chest acquisition cycle will reset daily at 6:30 AM server time.  

Party Hunting: The Western area of the underwater island is for party hunting. Monsters in this area will have higher HP and can resurrect themselves after being defeated. During night time, random parts of this area will be affected by Zaken’s Curse. The curse will reduce the HP and Speed of all players in the area. There is also a chance for a Midnight Nightmare NPC to randomly appear at night.

 

Silent Valley

  • Recommended Hunting Level: 72~75

Located outside of the town of Aden, the hunting zone is an excellent spot for small parties and solo fighter classes as monsters here have weak P. Defense. You can move to the Entrance of Silent Valley the Elisa Gatekeeper in the Town of Aden.

 

Giant’s Cave

  • Recommended Hunting Level: 76~78

  • Upper Giant’s Cave: Solo

  • Lower Giant’s Cave: Party 

Giant’s Cave is located outside of Aden with four different entrances to this ancient hunting zone. Inside the caves is an upper area for solo/small group hunting and a lower area for large group hunting.  You can move to the Entrance of the Giant’s Cave through the Elisa Gatekeeper in the Town of Aden.

Monster Spawn Information:

  • Upper Giant’s Cave

    • Defeating monsters near the entrance may increase the chance for a Destroyer monster to appear. The Destroyer monster has greater rewards than other monsters in this area.

    • A Hunter Destroyer monster may appear when you are hunting with 5 or more party members. The Hunter Destroyer gives a higher XP reward, but does not drop any items or spoils.

  • Lower Giant’s Cave

    • The Batur monster will spawn every 15 minutes in a random location, but will disappear immediately if he is not killed after one minute.

    • Hekaton Prime and Hekaton Chires will spawn every 3 hours in the same location. After defeating these two monsters, the Leogul and Gamlin scout monsters will stop spawning for one hour.


Rift of Heaven

The Rift of Heaven is a special new level 75+ hunting zone that contains three different types of missions. A Celestial Shard is required to enter the Rift of Heaven through the Dimensional Vortex 1 NPC on the 1st floor of the Tower of Insolence. The Celestial Shards can be obtained by opening an Unidentified stone, which drops with a low chance from monsters on the 6th Floor or higher.

A party of two members is also required to enter, but only one member of the party needs to have the Celestial Shard. Broken Celestial Shards can be obtained from opening an Unidentified Stone and can be exchanged at the Dimensional Vortex 1 NPC for Scrolls of Heavenly Protection.

After entering the Rift of Heaven, have the party leader speak to the Arushinai NPC to randomly start one of three different missions. The zone only lasts for 30 minutes and only one party is allowed entry into the zone. You cannot reset the mission and re-entry to the zone is not possible if your character dies or logs out.

The following three missions are below:

  • Kill 40 Divine Angels – Defeat 40 Divine Angels to receive XP and SP. Divine Angels do not drop any items.

  • Defuse 20 Bombs – Find 20 Bombs and defuse them by attacking them. There is a chance for the bombs to summon Divine Angels, detonate and drop a reward item, or detonate and drop nothing. Items that can drop from Bombs are below:

    • A-grade Armor Supply Box – Chance to receive an A-grade armor piece

    • Ornament Supply Box (A-grade) – Chance to receive an A-grade Accessory

    • Ornament Ingredient Box (A-grade) – Chance to receive an ingredient for an A-grade Accessory

    • Armor Ingredient Box (A-grade) – Chance to receive an A-grade armor ingredient

    • Cloth Piece – Required for unsealing A-grade armor

    • Defend the Guard Tower – Defend the Guard Tower by defeating 20 Divine Angels before they destroy it. You can obtain a Scroll: 20,000 SP and a Life Control Tower’s Scroll of Blessing (HP/ MP +5%, XP/ SP gain +30%, activates Paralysis/ Mental Attack Resistance. Duration: 60 minutes. Reuse Time: 30 minutes) after speaking to the tower during the mission.

 

Raids

Zaken Raid

  • Raid Boss Level: 75

  • Location: Zaken’s Pirate Ship in Devil’s Isle

  • Recommended Party: 7 Parties (63 members) of level 70 players or higher

  • Spawn Time: 00:00 ~ 01:10 server time

The Epic Raid Boss Zaken is located deep in the Devil’s Isle hunting zone (on the pirate ship). There are no level restrictions to enter the raid, but it is recommended to bring 7 parties of level 70+ players or more to defeat Zaken. The cabin doors of the pirate ship to enter the raid will open for only 10 minutes at Midnight (1 hour in game time).

Raid parties will have to find Zaken, who will randomly teleport to one of 15 different rooms during the raid. Zaken becomes a vampire at night time and will be more difficult to defeat, so it is recommended to fight him when he is weaker during the day.

 

Balthus Knights – Zaken Expedition

The Balthus Knights – Zaken Expedition is an instance zone where command channels of 27 members or higher can fight a less challenging version of the Zaken raid. Command channels will have two hours to defeat Zaken in the instance zone. After Zaken is defeated, the NPC Rash will appear for 5 minutes to give a reward to all participants. Balthus Knights Zaken does not drop any items.

A +10 Damaged Zaken’s Earring can be exchanged with the Rash NPC for a normal Zaken’s Earring.

Baium Raid

The Epic Raid Boss Baium is located at the top of the Tower of Insolence on the 14th Floor. To enter the Baium raid, you are required to have already completed the “An Arrogant Search” quest to gain the Blood-stained Cloth item. The Blood-stained Cloth is used as an entry item for the raid when you talk to the Angelic Whirlwind teleport device on the 14th Floor.

There is no limit to the number of players that can enter the raid zone and it is possible to enter the area while the raid is in progress. The raid has a 2-hour time limit to defeat Baium and all players will be transported back to the Town of Aden 10 minutes after Baium is defeated. If Baium is not defeated within two hours, then the raid boss will be reset.

 

Balthus Knights – Baium Expedition

The Balthus Knights – Baium Expedition is a special instance zone where command channels of 27 members or higher can fight a less challenging version of the Baium raid. Command channels will have two hours to defeat Baium in the instance zone. After Baium is defeated, the NPC Rash will appear for 5 minutes to give a reward to all participants. Balthus Knights Baium does not drop any items.

  • Requirements: A Command Channel of 27-300 Members

  • Reset Time: Wednesday 6:30 Server Time

  • Instance Zone Bonus: No XP Loss Upon Death inside the Baium Balthus Knights instance

You can obtain a Damaged Baium’s Ring from the Rash’s Supplies – Baium Box. The Damaged Ring can be enchanted up to +10 with Balthus Knights’ Varnish (regular, Shining, Glittering) that can also be obtained from Rash’s Supplies – Baium box. A +10 Damaged Baium’s Ring can be exchanged with the Rash NPC for a normal Baium’s Ring.
