'Making a Killing' set to film in New Mexico

Santa Fe, NM - New Mexico Film Office Director Nick Maniatis announced today that the independent feature "Making a Killing," produced by CanAmPac3, LLC, will begin principal photography mid-September through the end of October in Las Vegas and Montezuma.

"We are pleased to welcome and host the film team from 'Making a Killing.'  We thank them for embracing the community in ways beyond filming by immersing themselves with the locals and the culture, and engaging with our businesses and non-profits," said Las Vegas Mayor Tonita Gurulé-Girón. "Choosing to film in Las Vegas, New Mexico shows once again Las Vegas is a Renaissance Lady as a film backdrop. She reinvents her authentic history in hundreds of movies and is an amazing destination for those who love film."

The production will employ 20 New Mexico crew members, 15 New Mexico principal actors and 30 New Mexico background talent.

The independent feature is directed and produced by Devin Hume along with producers Seth Tonk and Jamie Pelz.

Starring Christopher Lloyd ("Back to the Future Trilogy," "Who Framed Roger Rabbit"), Michael Jai White ("Spawn," "The Dark Knight," "Tyson") Sally Kirkland ("Anna," "The Sting") Mike Starr ("Goodfellas," "Dumb and Dumber"), Aida Turturro ("The Sopranos," "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit") and Jude Moran ("Stadium Anthems") along with New Mexico actors David Midthunder ("The Last Stand," "Transformers: Age of Extinction"), Jack Forcinito ("Manhattan") and Joe Berryman ("Better Call Saul," "Graves," "Hell or High Water").

"Making a Killing" is the story of a special investigator who is assigned to a murder in a small Southwestern town, but soon finds that underneath the surface is a foundation of lies and greed that when revealed will rock the community to its core."
