You want high quality when it comes to your performance. Sound check gives you that by setting the levels and tonal balance of your voice contrasted with the instruments. This ensures your performance goes off without a hitch. Depending on the number of Artists performing will increase the sound check time but per Artist it can take anywhere from a few minutes to an hour. It is extremely important for Artists to show up early for sound check especially when they’re more than one Artist or group performing. Don’t sell yourself short.
