Proms 2016 Proms Extra

Tonight’s Prom features a setting by Zemlinsky of ‘The Gardener’ by the great Bengali poet and Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore. Novelist Tahmima Anam and BBC Radio 3 New Generation Thinker Preti Taneja, from the University of Warwick/ Queen Mary University of London, discuss the poem and Tagore’s place in both Bengali and world culture.
