If you didn't get a chance to dive into a sprinkle pit last year, your redemption Instagram is coming. This summer, the candy-loving masterminds behind Sugar Factory are opening up the first-ever Museum of Candy in New York City, and from the sounds of it, you won't go home without a sugar high or plenty of Insta stories.

The 30,000-square-foot space will feature the largest gummy bears on earth, make-your-own-candy stations, life-size candy displays, and interactive exhibits like a Gumdrop room and candy cane fashion show, a press release states. Guests will be able to photograph and eat their way through the many rooms, then order a meal at the full-service Sugar Factory restaurant next door.

There will also be a grab-and-go Sugar Factory cafe where guests can buy homemade pastries, pop-tarts, donuts, and over-the-top milkshakes. If it's sugary and rainbow-colored, you'll probably find it here.

While there's not an official opening date yet, the Museum of Candy will open its doors sometime in summer 2018 at 656 6th Ave in Manhattan, taking over the space that once held Limelight Nightclub. New York's location is the first of three planned museums, with the second to be opened in Los Angeles, Eater reports.

"From floor to ceiling, guests will be overwhelmed with joy from the edible candy murals, live art installations from local artists and whimsical musical performances," the press release says.

There's also a food hall element to the space, with more than 20 vendors and confectioners setting up shop to offer dessert demonstrations. International candy will be sold by the pound, so if you're looking to get your hands on limited-edition Cadbury products or Colombian Bon Bons, this might be the place to do so. As if you needed another reason to visit candy heaven.
