Apple iPhone 2016, also rumoured to be called iPhone 6SE, is just a few weeks away and it seems we already have a pre-order date even before the launch. Noted Twitter user Evan Blass, who writes for Venture Beat, has tipped that Apple’s newest iPhones could go on pre-order from September 9. In an earlier leak, Blass had revealed that the new iPhones will release in the week of September 12.

Apple generally releases its latest iPhones in September, and according to leak the latest iPhones won’t be much different from the current devices. Blass further hints that Apple won’t call the new devices iPhone 7 but just iPhone 2016 . A recent report by Nowhere Else hints at Apple launching not two but three new iPhone variants. The report claims Apple will launch iPhone, iPhone Plus and iPhone Pro in September.

While iPhone and iPhone Plus will be straight upgrades on iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone Pro could be Apple’s foray into a dual-rear camera smartphone. Also the next generation iPhones could feature a cleaner antenna design and significantly larger camera bump to accommodate a better 12MP rear camera.

While earlier debate revolved around whether Apple will add a headphone jack, now the chatter is around the name of the next iPhone. In this context, the report by German site apfelpage.de seems to make sense, we will have to wait to see whether it turns right.

While iPhone launches have been secretly guarded, the recent launches have been susceptible to leaks. While no single media report has been able to nail all the features of new iPhone, a curation usually gives a fair idea of what the device will be. While we do know that Apple plans to drop the headphone jack this time, the Cupertino-based company which recently sold its one billionth iPhone could have a few surprises up its sleeve as always.
