Kimarie Santiago is the creator and owner of Saltopia. An online only business selling just one product – salt. Not just any salt – natural sea salt infused with amazing flavours. The business launched December 2011, and the website in January 2012 and now $500.000 target this year, 50% online and 50% wholesale.

Kimarie feels that the most awesome thing about the business is that they’re finally in a place of not feeling all over the place. Starting off as a small business they have doubling in size annually there’s been times over the last few years when it has gotten a bit much. This year is the first year that Saltopia have got into a good rhythm and that’s really exciting.

On the Radar for the Coming Months

Kimarie plans to launching a cook book filled with recipes and how you can use the wide range of salts. They already received a large number of recipes from their customers along with those that they have created internally. The long term goal is create an app that will accompany the cook book.
