Allfresch specialises in the import and export of green bananas. Bananas are a focal point of trade for Allfresch and make up for over 70% of the entire group’s import and export activity.
Over the years we have developed partnerships with the most reliable producers across Latin and South America.
Currently, we import conventional, organic and organic Fairtrade green and yellow bananas from producers in Mexico, Ecuador and the Dominican Republic.
The companies within Allfresch specialise in different market commodities; this means that we can offer a dedicated and focused proposition to our customers all year round.
At Allfresch we don’t just buy and sell bananas. We look to develop longer-term relationships with producers through commercial partnerships and investment.
Our integrated supply chains and strategic partnerships close the gap between clients and producers. We firmly believe that through investment and developing long-term relationships we can ensure that we meet client’s requirements by taking an active role in the production and quality control process.
The relationships and the investments that we have with our producers allows us to act as a grower representative. All produce is procured directly from our producers and shipped direct to clients, eliminating additional handling charges and minimising quality issues.
By working with a variety of customers across the world, we can also utilise the whole crop and ensure volume efficiencies and competitive pricing.
Selected according to their quality standards we demand full traceability and the operation of rigid controls throughout all stages of the supply chain from our producers.
Our team operates with the most up to date systems of packing, storage and transport, ensuring that the product arrives in fresh and in prime condition and we demand full traceability and the operation of rigid controls throughout all stages of the supply chain; this includes frequent checks by our Quality Assurance Officers.
