As the city's Housing Authority revamps its elevators, the agency is taking new measures to keep tenants informed.

NYCHA is launching new ads as part of a new safety campaign, designed to make residents aware of the most dangerous conditions involving elevators.

The campaign includes posters, notecards, and flyers that show residents steps to avoid danger and immediately alert staff of potential hazards.

Back in April, NYCHA announced an overhaul of its elevators, including new protocols for inspecting brake monitors, improved safety training and revamped communication with first responders.

NYCHA operates more than 3,300 elevators across the five boroughs.
