Well it’s been exciting as the pounds have dropped off to be able to start wearing a size 16 again. In fact, I had completely been avoiding pants (especially jeans!) over the last few months just because they weren’t comfortable to wear and I could fit better in to dresses and stretchy black pants. But for the last couple of weeks I’ve been able to wear some of my old size 16 jeans. I even went and bought a new pair of jeans and shorts, as I figure I’ll be in a size 16 for a while.

But as I was cleaning through my closet the other day I came across a pair of white linen pants, also a size 16, with the tags still on them. I’m not even sure where they came from or how long they have been there, but as soon as I saw them I knew they would be a great addition to my summer wardrobe. Whether going to the office or to the Hamptons, these pants are perfect!

I rushed to try them on…and ugh, so close. I mean I can button them, but they don’t really fit. I figure I’m about 10lbs away from being able to fit in to them without having a massive muffin-top.

I’ll just keep trying them on weekly and hope I get there soon. And don’t worry, I’ll of course iron them before I actually wear them!
